How the Voucher Works

Three things to know before you apply.

$2,000 per household

The voucher takes $2,000 off the price at the register. You pay the remaining balance.

🚲

Family and cargo bikes only

The voucher covers electric family and cargo bikes from an approved model list. Standard e-bikes are not included.

🏪

Shop local

Vouchers are redeemed at participating San Gabriel Valley bike shops.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must live in the San Gabriel Valley and be 18 or older. Each round also prioritizes one of the groups below.

🏠

Any SGV household

Some rounds are open to all San Gabriel Valley residents, with no income requirement.

💳

Income-qualified households

Households enrolled in CalFresh, WIC, or Medi-Cal.

🛣️

I-10 corridor communities

Alhambra, Baldwin Park, El Monte, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, South El Monte, and nearby unincorporated areas.

📍

Pomona grant area

Households inside the Pomona Transformative Climate Communities grant area.

What Participants Agree To

Vouchers come with a few commitments. They help us show that programs like this work.

Attend a class or demo

Try a family or cargo bike before you buy and learn how to load and ride it safely.

Share how you ride

Participants fill out short surveys and report trips so we can measure how much driving the program replaces.

Sign the program terms

Everyone signs the participant terms and conditions before a voucher is issued.
